It was in 1918 that Thor Ahlgren started his business in Skillingaryd, Småland. As the innovator he was, manufacturing was largely carried out using his own tools and machines. The company developed and after a while the business was reoriented towards pressing and stamping of sheet metal parts in various materials.
Since the early 40s, we have been a given subcontractor to companies in the Swedish automotive industry. Today, we are also a highly qualified subcontractor to many other industries, such as electronics, engineering, telecom and furniture.

In the early 90s, the first alkaline laundry was installed in Sweden at Thor Ahlgren
Hooks Produktion was acquired, where we today have our laser cutting and CNC machining.
Fine blanking enters as a new process in the business
First laser machine in place and Thor Ahlgren broadens its process offering, this has since been developed to also include CNC machines
A second laser machine in place and additional CNC machines.
