Laser cutting in sheet metal

We laser cut sheet metal with high precision, short lead times and repeatable quality - from prototype to series. As a complete subcontractor, we take responsibility for the entire flow: drawing/CAD, nesting and programming, laser cutting, quality control and any post-processing before delivery.

Why choose us for laser cutting of sheet metal?

  • Tight tolerances & neat edges - fiber laser technology provides narrow kerf, low heat impact and high detail reproduction in thin sheet metal.
  • Efficient serial production - smart nesting and stable process ensures low scrap and predictable costs.
  • Prototype → volume - we switch quickly between short and long runs without compromising on quality.
  • Material width - black plate/steel, stainless steel and aluminum, with the right gas and parameters for oxide-free cuts.
  • One team - multiple processes - we can combine laser cutting with bending, milling, threading and deburring for finished parts.

This is what a partnership with us looks like

  1. Submission & quote: You send us a drawing, and we get back to you with a price and any design suggestions for better cutability.
  2. Sample & verification: If necessary, we run sample parts to ensure edge quality and fit.
  3. Series & delivery: Planned running order and quality assurance provide predictable delivery time.
  4. Post-processing: We can include bending, threading, deburring and simple assembly in the same flow.

Laser cutting sheet metal requires precise heat and control

Laser cutting in thin sheet metal has slightly different requirements than in thicker materials. Thin material thickness means low heat capacity - small mistakes in power, focus position or gas pressure are immediately noticeable as heat impact, micro warping or micro melting in hole edges. That's why we work with narrow nozzles, high gas flows (often nitrogen for oxide-free edges) and optimized lead-ins to avoid marks where the beam goes in and out. We also adjust the beam profile and depth of focus to ensure an even kerf and minimize HAZ, especially in aluminum where reflection and heat conduction require extra control.
